Aims and outline

The 5th International Conference on Concrete Repair, Rehabilitation and Retrofitting, ICCRRR 2018, will focus on the increasingly important aspects in modern infrastructure provision and retention: that of appropriately repairing, maintaining, rehabilitating, and retrofitting existing infrastructure with a view to extending its life and maximising its economic return.

The fields of concrete repair, rehabilitation and retrofitting, as well as concrete durability and structural performance monitoring and assessment remain some of the most important for today’s infrastructure. To master the challenges associated with infrastructure management it is important to remain updated on current and recent developments in the fields of construction material technology, construction methods, structural performance assessment, structural health monitoring and non-destructive testing.

The ICCRRR is intended to bring together academics, practising engineers and scientists from around the world to share knowledge and experience on current developments in the repair, rehabilitation and retrofitting of concrete structures with a particular focus on concrete technology, durability aspects, condition assessment of concrete structures, structural health monitoring, structural assessment and techniques for repair, rehabilitation and retrofitting.

The conference will run over 3 days and feature oral presentations by authors of all accepted papers, as well as keynote addresses by leading international experts. Following the conference, workshops on selected topics will be organised, exposing delegates to practical information and hands-on experience. The event will include a tourist programme for conference delegates and accompanying persons, as well as various social functions including a conference dinner.
